Source: the space between the iPhone 14 Pro display’s pill and hole-shaped cutouts will be bridged by software and show microphone and camera privacy indicators  —  The big Apple news of the day is that the iPhone 14 Pro will apparently use software to make the two new display cutouts look like one seamless cutout.

Kuo estimates iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max shipments in Q4 to be 70M-75M, vs. the 80M-85M consensus, and thinks demand may “disappear” due to a recession  —  The supply and production issues plaguing the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are no secret at this point.

Apple patched a bug in iOS 16.1 and macOS Ventura that could allow apps with Bluetooth access to record user conversations with Siri without needing mic access  —  Apple released iOS 16.1 and macOS Ventura to the public this week.  In addition to headlining new features and changes, there are also essential security fixes as well.
